Come on and ride the train!

So every afternoon around 4:30 0r 5, little Kenny and I go to the Roy train station to pick up Kenny. Well these past 2 weeks since the weather has been a little nice instead of pulling up to the curb and waiting, little Kenny and I park the car and walk up to the platform and wait for Kenny's train to pull up and then we all walk back to the car together. Every time the train pulls up little Kenny gets so excited for the train and he watches it pretty intensely. Well Kenny and I decided last week that we wanted to take little Kenny on the train, but we didn't want to do long ride because we didn't know how he would behave. So on Saturday we decided we would get on the train in Roy and ride to Layton, get off and go to breakfast at Doug and Emmy's and then ride home. We called Kenny's parents and the met us there and were waiting to greet little Kenny at the platform. We had so much fun! It was really great to see little Kenny get so excited because he actually got to get on the train. Breakfast was really good too. When we got off the train we all waved to the engineer driving and he waved back to little Kenny, it was so cute. We are excited to take him on again soon, we think we will shoot for Salt Lake next time so we can do a planetarium trip. Who knew that a little boy's love for trains would start this young!

The boys playing around on the platform waiting for the train.

Looking out the window watching the scenery zoom by.

Getting on the train for the first time.
Our family is so grateful for the train. It takes so much time off of Kenny's commute compared to riding the buses alone. It is also safer and a lot more reliable, we are also very blessed that Kenny's work pays for his pass. We hope that the service just keeps better and better.
